How much does wheel coating cost?

Priced per set, dependent on wheel type, whether wheels come off the car, and current condition. Get in touch for a personalised quote.
How long does wheel coating take?
+
Typically included in a wider full-detail or paint-coating booking. As a standalone, allow a full working day.
How long does it last?
+
Depends on the specific product chosen; the top wheel coatings we use are rated in years, not months, when applied in correct conditions and looked after.
Will you take the wheels off the car?
+
Where practical, yes, off-car application gives the best barrel and face coverage. On-car is possible with careful masking where wheel removal isn't practical.
Can I still use an acid wheel cleaner after coating?
+
Not routinely. The whole point of a coating is that pH-neutral chemistry and a rinse are enough for standard cleaning. Reserve stronger products for occasional heavy contamination, we'll brief you at handover.
Does it help against winter road salt?
+
Yes, hydrophobic behaviour and reduced adhesion make salt release much more easily on rinse, protecting lacquer and paint underneath.
Does it work on diamond-cut alloys?
+
Yes, with careful attention to the vulnerable lacquer edges. In fact, diamond-cut wheels are among the most cost-effective candidates because refurbishment is so expensive.
Do you cover the surrounding areas of Essex?
+
Yes, studio in Hawkwell, Hockley, with regular customers from Southend, Rayleigh, Benfleet, Leigh, Wickford, Basildon, Canvey, Shoebury and Chelmsford. Pickup and drop-off available on request.
