Our process
We discuss how long you're keeping the car, how it's stored and how it's used, then recommend the right tier, 2, 5 or 7 years.
Snow foam, two-bucket contact wash, iron and tar removal, and clay preparation. Nothing bonded stays on the surface.
One, two or three-stage polishing to remove defects, because a coating is transparent, whatever is under it is what you'll see for years.
Every panel is stripped of polishing oils so the coating bonds directly to bare, corrected clear coat.
The chosen Gtechniq or Gyeon coating is applied panel by panel, levelled and flashed off at the manufacturer's specified time, no rushing, no shortcuts.
The car cures in our studio at controlled temperature and humidity. On collection you're briefed on aftercare, wash intervals and the products we'd recommend.

The 2-year tier is a strong entry point for cars that get sold or changed every 2–3 years, or for owners who want to try a coating before committing to the top tier. The 5-year sits at the sweet spot of longevity vs cost for most private cars. The 7-year is our premium tier; the choice for owners keeping the car long-term or protecting a high-value paintwork investment.
Modern coating systems are not just for paint. Wheels take heat, brake dust and salt; a dedicated wheel coating dramatically reduces cleaning effort. Glass coatings clear water off the windscreen at speed. Fabric and leather coatings resist stains on interior surfaces. We build these into a bundle where it makes sense.
Manufacturers specify cure environments in tight temperature and humidity ranges. Outside those ranges you get high spots, uneven cure or drastically reduced lifespan. Working from a temperature-controlled indoor studio is the difference between a coating that lasts its advertised life and one that fails inside 12 months.
All products we use are guaranteed by the manufacturer, if a product genuinely under-performs, it goes back to the manufacturer under their guarantee. Where a specific written warranty is required, we bring in additional specialist products to match that requirement.

Most coating jobs take 48 hours in the studio to cover safe wash, decontamination, correction, application and cure. This ensures the coating bonds correctly and cures without rushing.

Yes, but we recommend a proper safe-wash technique, pH neutral shampoo, two-bucket method or rinse-less wash, and no drive-through car washes with harsh brushes. We brief every customer on aftercare at handover.
No. A ceramic coating protects against chemical staining, UV, light contamination and marring; it does not stop stone chips or impact damage. Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a separate service for impact protection (coming soon at Tailored Detail).
As a rule of thumb: 2-year for cars kept short-term, 5-year for most private daily-driven cars, 7-year for long-term ownership or premium vehicles. We'll advise honestly based on your car and plans.
